Al Masaood Energy, Zayed Authority for People of Determination( ZA ) and Red Wing have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish local manufacturing of Red Wing safety workwear in the United Arab Emirates
Al Masaood Energy, Zayed Authority for People of Determination( ZA ) and Red Wing have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish local manufacturing of Red Wing safety workwear in the United Arab Emirates, bringing together international safety expertise, local industrial capabilities and skilled talent from the People of Determination community.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of ADIPEC 2026 Exhibition & Conference in Abu Dhabi, marking a new chapter in the longstanding relationship between Al Masaood Energy and Red Wing while strengthening their collaboration with the Zayed Authority for People of Determination.
Under the MoU, Al Masaood Energy will manufacture safety workwear in its premises of Abu Dhabi Industrial City (ICAD 2), leveraging Red Wing’s technology, product expertise and established safety standards. ZA will support the initiative through the participation of trained People of Determination in tailoring and stitching activities, creating a direct pathway from specialized skills development to productive social participation in local manufacturing.
The initiative builds on a longstanding partnership between Al Masaood Energy and Red Wing spanning more than four decades, during which both companies have contributed to providing safety solutions across the UAE market. The new agreement expands this collaboration by localizing production and bringing manufacturing operations closer to customers, while contributing to the development of national industrial capabilities.
The tripartite partnership also builds on years of established collaboration between Al Masaood Energy and Zayed Authority for People of Determination, which has supported the training and qualification of People of Determination in tailoring and garment production.
The locally manufactured products will primarily serve end-users in the oil and gas sector, including ADNOC, its subsidiaries and contractors, as well as customers across other relevant industrial sectors.
The initiative is aligned with the objectives of the UAE’s In-Country Value (ICV) Program, strengthening the resilience and responsiveness of domestic supply chains, and increasing the economic value retained within the country.
