Zayed Authority for People of Determination Signs Cooperation Agreement with Kids Heart Medical Centers to Enhance Specialized Services Ecosystem

Zayed Authority for People of Determination has signed a cooperation agreement with Kids Heart Medical Centers and Heart Medical Center, aiming to explore opportunities for collaboration and enhance the ecosystem of therapeutic and rehabilitation services provided to People of Determination. This initiative seeks to improve their quality of life and support their integration into society in line with best international practices.

The agreement aims to develop joint programs in the areas of early assessment and diagnosis, specialized therapeutic rehabilitation, psychological counseling, as well as social and behavioral support. It also includes training, capacity building, and the exchange of scientific and professional expertise between both parties, thereby strengthening the integration between healthcare and social services.

Areas of cooperation include training personnel in sign language and in effective methods of engaging with People of Determination, inviting medical centers to participate in events and activities organized by the Authority, as well as supporting the marketing of products made by People of Determination and providing Braille printing services, all of which promote inclusivity and accessibility for all segments of society.

Kids Heart Medical Centers will also provide an integrated system for early assessment and diagnosis for children, along with specialized rehabilitation services, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech and language therapy, in addition to psychological counseling and family and social support programs.

His Excellency Abdulla Abdulalee Al Humaidan, Secretary-General of the Zayed Authority for People of Determination, affirmed that this agreement reflects the Authority’s commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships with leading medical institutions, contributing to the development of an integrated system of services for People of Determination, and expanding the scope of early intervention, specialized rehabilitation, and psychological support services.
He stated: “This partnership represents an important step toward expanding early intervention, specialized rehabilitation, and psychological and behavioral support, contributing to improving the quality of life of People of Determination and enhancing their independence and active participation in society. We believe that integration between the government sector and the private medical sector forms a fundamental pillar in building a comprehensive empowerment model aligned with the vision of our wise leadership and the UAE’s direction toward building an inclusive and sustainable society.”

Dr. Mohammed Suleiman, Chairman of Kids Heart Medical Centers and Heart Medical Center, expressed that signing this cooperation agreement with Zayed Authority for People of Determination is a great honor and source of pride, given the Authority’s deeply rooted humanitarian and national mission, which places people at the center of its vision.

This, in turn, will contribute to creating a tangible positive impact on the lives of People of Determination and their families, and enhance their active participation in society.

Both parties affirmed that this partnership strengthens collaboration between the public and private sectors, supports early intervention programs, and raises community awareness about the importance of early diagnosis and comprehensive rehabilitation.
